Hello Marlene!
It has been a long time since I passed along sime pictures and gave you an update. How have your holidays been? Warm, safe, and relaxing I hope! I attached some new pics of Chloe. Three of them were taken on Tuesday and the one with her new Team Cananda Olympic t-shirt was this morning. Yes we have clothes for her - much to my 'dismay'. It turns out that she is quite chilly close to the tile floor and often stands infront of the furnace duct, so we got her a t-shirt to keep the chill off. She even sits with her nose up now when it is time to put it on - easier to slide it over her head that way!
She is doing so well! The instructor at Dogaholics has already said that she can take the "Canine Good Neighbour" classes in the New Year, and she still has a couple more puppy classes to go! She is very quiet (not yappy) - with the exception of first thing in the morning when she wants us to come and play - she LOVES her tiny squeeky toys and will play fetch forever. We have been having play-dates with some other dogs (big ones and small ones) and she is doing MUCH better at socializing. She is so smart and has learned almost all of her puppy class commands and even got to be the demonstration dog once for "go to your place" (your mat, crate, kennel, whatever). She did it with no troubles, twice, infront of everyone and her crate was all the across the room!
Also, I wanted to tell you what a good job Rosie did of teaching Chloe as a puppy about being picked up! Almost right from the get-go Chloe stands still and crouches a little when she is going to be picked up. No squirming, chasing, barking, nipping, wriggling... Nothing. She looks up, stands still, crouches a bit and waits. So nice! I remember that Rosie was good about being picked up - crouching and backing up for you.
Thanks again for being committed to knowing what you're doing! Chloe is wonderful!
Happy New Year!

Hi Marlene,
Though we have kept in touch since the day we brought our Lacey Delight home 2 weeks ago now, I just wanted to take a few minutes and really say thank you and your family for such a wonderful puppy.
I must say I named her well, as she has delighted us daily with her antics, her love and her good behavior. She has even won over her "big sister", our very spoiled "only child" cat.
They play and chase each other and bring us loads of laughter.
It was so good to be able to come over and visit and get to know our little girl before bringing her home. That wait was so long, so the visits helped me get past that, and helped Lacey because she knew her new mom at home coming. You and your family always made us feel so welcome, and you were so open to any questions. Our first visit was well over 2 hours, and though you were willing to give me 24 hours to decide, I knew then and there that this was the dog for me, and I already had her named before we left that night!
When we brought our little girl home, she was paper trained, and we only had a couple of days with minor accidents, as she learned where her new potty area was. I am amazed that after only 2 weeks at home, and at only 14 weeks of age, we have gone 6 days now without one accident and has full run of the main floor. She stops in mid play, runs to her paper, does what she has to do, and then runs back to "tell" us that she has been a good girl yet again. I give credit to her wonderful breeder for this! I must thank-you for teaching her how to give kisses, as I look forward to my kisses when I come home each day. She still readily rolls over for a belly rub, which Sloan and Spencer taught her, and we keep up. Lacey came home with a complete puppy layette consisting of a bed, toys and food plus some treats for when she is a good girl. That was such a wonderful special touch as well.
As I told you the first time we met, and the first time I laid eyes on Lacey, that I have yearned for a Yorkie for years, and the reality is even better than the dream. You sent us home with a well adjusted, people loving little darling, who has already brought so much joy to us. She is so eager to please, and tries so hard to be a good girl, and learns quickly. She is rather spoiled already, but how can I help it? Lacey is so precious! We take numerous pictures, and show them off to anyone and everyone we can!
I strongly recommend anyone wanting a Yorkie, to get in touch with you, and they will not be sorry. I chose you over 4 other breeders we either spoke to over the phone, or communicated with via email. I just knew that such a warm welcoming person would raise a wonderful addition to our little family. She was loved the first 12 weeks of her life by you and your family, and will spend the rest of her life being dearly loved by her proud new mom and dad! I believe Lacey is happy here as well, and if she could she would thank you for allowing us to have her.
Thank-you!

Hi Marlene,
Allow me to introduce myself and my little angel dog Zack, who is the best thing to come
into my life in a very long time. I found Marlene on the internet and contacted her;
immediately she was very accommodating. I went to see the puppies right away as my little
Zack (previously named Prince William) was the last of the litter available. As soon as I
seen him I knew I had to have him, I chatted with Marlene and played with the puppies for
over an hour. She told me to take at least one day to think about it before I made any
final decisions and she would hold him until I called the next day. Well I knew then and
there he was coming home with me but as she is an experienced breeder I took her advice.
I called her the next day and told her to not let anyone else see him because he had found
his new home. Marlene was extremely accommodating for Zack and I. We arranged visiting
times for us to play and get to know one another. He was always so playful every time I
came to visit and the bond grew greater every time we hung out. Since Zack is the first
puppy I've had since I was a little girl, I had a lot of questions to which Marlene was
very helpful and understanding. She set me up with everything I needed to take care of
him once he came home. I was nervous that he would be scared when he got to his new home
but that was not the case. He adjusted perfectly, and knew and loved his new mom. He
loves me and shows that love so much every day. He learned from Marlene, Aunt Rosie
(another of Marlene's dogs that loves to play mommy) and her two girls that love is a
wonderful thing. Thank you Marlene for bringing Zack into my world and of course Spencer
and Sloane for taking such good care of him before he left his first family. They loved him,
combed him, bathed him, trained him, played with him and gave him all the comforts a new
little puppy needs. It's such a delight to come home every day and have that little angel
greet me at the door, squirming with excitement to see his mom. He listens so well,
understands "no", knows to go straight to his bed when he's been bad, and has learned
some doggy tricks already and is only 5 and a half months old! The love that my little
Zack pours out for me and everyone else he meets makes my heart sing. He follows me around
everywhere I go (had to get a bell for his collar!), always wants to sit in my arms, loves
to give kisses, and loves to cuddle. I'm already thinking about getting him a buddy to hang
out with when I'm not home. The other great thing, especially since he is home by himself
while I work, is that Marlene free feeds and paper trains her dogs. He eats when he's hungry
and goes on the pads! I've wanted a Yorkshire Terrier for years and now I know why. For those
that say dogs are a lot of work, yeah they can be, but the benefits definitely outweigh any
of that. And when you get such a well behaved and loveable dog as all those that Marlene
and her family have raised, it's minimal work with maximum benefits. If you're thinking about it,
I give you my word, you won't be disappointed by Marlene. Chat at ya later, Myrtle and Zack!

Hi Marlene!
As you know, we've had our little Trixie (aka Stella at your home) for two
weeks now and she has
changed our lives for the better. Our life was
wonderful before, but our little bundle of love just made it soooooo much
better! She is our dream come true... Words don't even begin to say how much
we love her.
As you know, we love dogs and I have had the pleasure of having some
wonderful dogs share my life before... But Trixie is several cuts above all
the dogs we have EVER known. She has such a wonderful happy well-adjusted
temperament and she is sooooooooo well behaved, loving and playful.
She is the smartest dog we've ever met - Lassie move over darling, a new
star is born! You should see her when she is trying to figure out how to get
to something that's out of her reach - you can see her thinking about it and
trying to find a solution - it's just amazing how resourceful she can get!!!
She is very easy to train, a very quick learner, very inquisitive, loves to
go for daily car rides, and, of
course... She's a bundle of cuddles and
love. She's just unbelievable :-)
I tell you, if all puppies were so well raised, and dog owners had such a
wonderful experience with their new puppy, there would not be any dogs
abandoned in shelters. I truly wish that everyone would buy their dogs from
breeders such as you Marlene.
You have really raised a wonderful warm loving well-behaved caring little
girl in Trixie and we are forever grateful to have her in our lives now. We
just absolutely love her to pieces and we could not imagine our lives
without her anymore. She is truly a "dream"... A wonderful dream to have in
our family.
Not only have we adopted the best little Yorkie in the world, we've also
gained a wonderful friend in you Marlene. We can certainly see where little
Trixie gets all the love and happiness in her heart. I could go on and on...
and on... about her and how wonderful she is :-)
Thank you again Marlene and we hope that you can come over very soon for a
visit!
Your friends forever, The Patels...Nathalie, Werner Trixie :-)

Hi Everyone
My name is Bonney and I am a very proud owner of one of Marlene Ferguson's pups.
I would like to tell you about my experience in dealing with Marlene. She is a
very friendly , out going and honest person. She was more than happy to show me
where the puppy's lived "in her home" and where the older dogs were allowed to play outside.
After about my second or third visit to see the puppy's and Marlene
could see I was interested in purchasing one, but didn't know which one I wanted,
she said that since I was the first one to come to see that particular litter, I
would have first pick. She kept her word on that promise and I was impressed ,
after only meeting her 2 or 3 times.
My pup named Bailey is the most precious little girl. She is very healthy and full
of so much energy, she tires me out sometimes. Marlene takes her pups to see the
vet regularly and makes sure they have all their shots up to date. In my opinion,
she takes very good care of her dogs and it appeared to me that she raises them to
be real people friendly as they are allowed to intermingle with anyone that comes
to visit. Another thing that I was impressed with is that she was very good at
e-mailing me pictures of Bailey, until Bailey was old enough to come home with me.
Since I live reasonably close to Marlene, I was welcome to go and visit Bailey.
Marlene was very forthcoming with the answers to any of my questions and still is.
All in all, my experience in dealing with Marlene has been a totally positive one
and should you decide to contact her in regards to the purchase of a Yorkie pup,
I'm very confident you'll be glad you did.
We couldn't love our Bailey more and her Gramma says she's the "cutest Animal" she
has ever seen.

We purchased our "Patio" in June 2003.He is the most beautiful smart well socialized puppy. Well, needless to say we adore him. As do our other dogs.
Marlene's puppies come pre-spoiled and are extremely well socialized, oh, and child friendly too!
Marlene's dogs are part of her family and as a result you will get the most wonderful , friendly little puppy.
If you are considering adding a Yorkie to your family, this is the place to purchase one!
Not only will you get a wonderful Puppy, but, also a Wonderful friends in Marlene and her daughters!

Dear Marlyn, How are you doing? We are great. Bonamie and I are getting
along wonderfully. She is sitting on my lap right now. She spends alot of
time there. MArlyn, She is exactly what I had hoped for in a pet and more.
She is calm and alert. SHe is VERY loving and responsive. She has been
going on the paper and her apetite is decent. SHe has eaten about a third
of a cup of her food late in the evening. Does this seem to be her pattern,
she is also munching during the day, grabbing a piece here and there, in
between her play times, which are HIGH energy and so much fun, we are
having a blast. kisses and hugs from the two of us.
Love Kari and Bonamie

What can I say about my beloved Mickey? He is loyal and never leaves my side.
He is spirited and such a tough guy when it comes to being a watch dog.
He has a personality that is lively and energetic. He's a jumper - just
nothing he can't clear. Most people are quite surprized to see his agility.
We should have named him "bandit" as he takes off with anything that might
be dropped - gone like a shot. Mickey doesn't like to retrieve -
wants you to play, but refuses to bring anything back. He wants to keep
it for himself. I think its because he came from a large family and he
didn't like to share.
Mickey is extremely even tempered and loves everyone. After his initial
bark when visitors arrive he adjusts and behaves, a very social dog.
He never growls at anyone, unless you are playing with him. He loves
children, especially babies, and he is captivated by cats. The only
creature I've seen him not like were horses - sorry Marlene!
Mickey is my first dog since my childhood and I can't express how
much I love him. He is just a wonderful companion, his unconditional
love is so comforting. Oh, I did forget to mention that he loves to be
held and carried around - good thing he is just an armful. All in all
Mickey is the cutest little guy in the world.
